Close to $40,000 in awards, ribbons and scholarships are presented to students with top projects!
Awards are mailed to the address the student used when they registered their project. Ribbon placement certificates are emailed to each student using the email address the student used to register their project.

Award: Public recognition at Broadcom Foundation sponsored competitions and showcases with the receipt of a formal certificate from the Broadcom Foundation, $250 Gift Certificate, Raspberry Pi Foundation Official RP 400 Personal Computer Kit
Description: This award is available to students in grades 5-8 where they combine STEM Knowledge with Coding in the project's research, design, or development in a project that expresses Passion for helping or improving one's community.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC)
A program of Society for Science
Eligibility: 6th-8th Grade
Award: Students who are nominated have the honor of continuing their science fair journey by applying to compete in the Thermo Fisher JIC (formerly known as the Broadcom MASTERS).
Description: The top 10% of students in 6th-8th grade will be nominated to enter the national competition. Nominees will complete an online application, the top 300 will be named and the 30 finalists will participate in a finals week competition in Washington, DC in October. There is no cost to the student at any step of the competition.

Description: This award will provide a $100 award and a certificate to a young inventor creating a tangible invention that represents a promising solution to a real-world problem. Tangible inventions can be devices, or they can take the form of novel methods or processes (for example, inventing a novel carbon sequestration process, creating a novel biomarker to detect disease).
