A Research Literature Review Paper is NOT REQUIRED FOR ALL PROJECTS! It is ONLY REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS ENTERING THE K-12 RESEARCH Literature Review DIVISION!

Research Literature Review Papers are not recommened for students participating in the Honors Division Fair for high school students submitting collegiate-level work and are not eligible to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

Overview

The Research Literature Review Division is for students who want to investigate viruses, fire, hazardous materials, or a subject that has been deemed unsafe by a teacher or Academy of Science staff or SRC. If a student is interested in bacteria, viruses, fire, or hazardous materials, they are NOT allowed to handle, sample, or test. However, they can study data that is available from reliable sources and submit a Research Literature Review Paper.

• For the Research Literature Review Division you will not have a display. Submit a 5-page double-spaced paper (you may use both sides), a signed Safety Form, and a Quad Chart.
• 2-3 additional pages may contain graphs, tables, or diagrams ONLY (if needed) and these additional pages may also be double-sided | graphs, tables, or diagrams may also be included within the 5 double-spaced, double-sided pages.
• Include one page for bibliography/works cited (may be double-sided). Ensure that you include an additional works cited, works consulted, or bibliography page with at least 3 sources. The works cited page is not part of the 5-page limit.
